VETERAN BUSINESS PROJECT™️ "Getting Veterans into Business" is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose core mission is Offering Hope - Saving Lives. Centered around matchmaking and similar to the model of "eharmony©,"... our "vharmony™️" team connects and serves Veterans wanting to purchase a business with existing business owners wanting to sell. In many cases, it's better for a veteran to take over an existing, profitable business wanting to sell, as opposed to a start-up.
Our co-founder Lynn Lowder, being a Vietnam veteran himself (1st Force Recon Marine Team Leader), has a unique perspective on what drives veterans and the need to be the captain of their own ship...which was literally the case regarding the deal we helped complete for two Navy vets. VBP matched Ray and Erich up with Wintrust Bank in Chicago and guided them through the entire process to obtain the needed financing to purchase their Tour Boat business. Today, Chicago Fire Boat Tours is on the water, providing sightseeing and educational tours on Chicago's river and lakefront. (www.fireboattours.com)

Offering Hope - Saving Lives… Every completed deal publicized on the news or in print offers that hope, not just for a veteran who may be at risk but for their families as well. If others can learn that what happened for Erich and Ray is possible for them, then hope can truly come forth. The sad reality that sometimes occurs is when that last flicker of hope goes out, the world becomes a dark place, and all too often, to stop their pain, veterans may take their own lives, tragically leaving a wake of heartbroken families and friends behind.
