Veterans will also receive a door prize ticket upon arrival\, and prizes will be awarded after the ceremony\, including a rifle.Open Shoot or Competition Shoot Veterans who want to participate in the Open Shoot or Competition Shoot must register in advance. Shooting participants must bring their own rifle and ammunition. This is a rifle-only event designed for modern military-style rifles. Please leave all other firearms at home. Eye and ear protection will be available if needed. During the Open Shoot\, veterans may sign up for one 30-minute range slot. Dane County Sheriff's Office deputies will be on the range to assist with safety and zeroing. A limited number of rifles may also be available to try with support from event partners.
